Silent Auction Rules
|
Please read carefully
Welcome to the BCC-JCG Annual Silent Auction. So
that you may enjoy this event, please be familiar with the rules of the auction:
- A complete list of all items will be supplied
to potential bidders at the auction site.
- Each item will have a bid sheet with a
description of the item, the minimum opening bid, and the dollar increment
rules. Some items have required minimum opening bids placed by the donors.
If the required minimum bid is not met, the item must be withdrawn from the
auction. In such cases the bid sheet will be removed.
- Silent Auction: Each participant will receive a
bid number at registration. Each bid sheet will have the opening bid listed
. To make a bid, simply put your bid number next to your desired bid amount.
- Advance Bids: You may make an advanced bid
using the form on the next page. Extra forms can be requested or you can get
a copy of the form from our web site. Advanced bids are due no later than
4:00 PM on Friday, November 1.
- At closing time, bid sheets will be
collected. Results will be available approximately one half hour after the
last category closing. At that time successful bidders may make payments and
retrieve items that are on the premises.
- All items may be claimed and removed from the
premises directly after the auction on Sunday, November 18at Farmland Elementary School. If you are unable to stay until the end of the auction and
you are the highest bidder, you will be contacted to make arrangements for
payment and for receiving your item(s).
- Upon receipt of payment, the BCC-JCG Silent
Auction Committee will present to the highest bidder either 1.) the item, or
2.) information necessary to secure the item from the donor.
- Tax Information: The portion of the purchase
in excess of market value may be tax deductible as a charitable expense.
Please Take Note!
Certain items may have expiration dates or
restrictions.
Refunds will not be given.
